Not quite my style, but the look is very intersting.

I like your idea with the little guard. :-)

You know what? I'm gonna slay you! (Droopy)
Sorry, don't quite get it:is the forging ground down,or is the blade a separate piece?Looks really good, though.
It started out as a file. I forged the tang and a portion of the body of the file into the handle then ground the rest of the body of said file into the blade of said knife. I don't know if I even understand what I just wrote...it's one piece, handle is forged and blade is ground (stock removal method). I'll add some close ups of it later.
Hope that helps!

Hey,that's perfectly clear.Very good,man-nice blade,(wether you heat-treated it or not,doesn't matter-file's 1% C,so very treatable),and very good looling,comfortable handle.Right on!
It's got the wavey line my friend! Treated and tempered!

THE wavy line itself? The one that the Japanese collectors would kill for?Sorry, just kidding.Very good, wonderful.Keep up the good work.Respect,Jake.
Thanks Jake...the line isn't as clear as on the Japanese stuff simply because I didn't polish it to "bring out" the line. I do appreciate the sarcasm.
